On September 25, the Sixth "Huayu Qing" Chinese Proficiency Competition was successfully concluded. Acting Consul General Zhang Shuhao attended the closing ceremony and delivered remarks. More than 1,900 students from 18 Chinese schools in five cities in the Visayas region took part in competitions.

Zhang congratulated all participating teachers and students. Zhang said the "Huayu Qing" Chinese Proficiency Competition has provided a platform for Chinese schools, teachers, and students in the Visayas to showcase their teaching and Chinese-language ability. He hopes that teachers and students would learn Chinese well, so as to make greater contributions to promoting China-Philippine people-to-people friendship and cultural exchanges.
