Recently, Consul General Zhang Zhen of China in Cebu made farewell courtesy calls on Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Philip Lo, Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro, Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr., Mandaue City Mayor Jonkie Ouano, and Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Cindi King-Chan. She also bid farewell to other local officials in the consular district by letter and other means.

Consul General Zhang Zhen appreciated the support extended by local governments to the work of the Consulate General. She looked forward to continued joint efforts to steer clear of disruptions, advance people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and friendship, promote sub-national cooperation, and inject more positive energy into China-Philippines bilateral relations.
