On August 8, Consul General Zhang Zhen attended the 28th Anniversary Celebration of the Cebu Centennial Lions Club and the induction ceremony of its new officers. 

In her remarks, Consul General Zhang extended warm congratulations and commended the Club for its contributions to Cebu’s development. She highlighted China’s latest achievements in high-quality development and elaborated on China’s good-neighborhood diplomacy, noting that China is ready to work with all partners to build a community with a shared future.

Reflecting on the longstanding friendship between the Chinese and Filipino peoples, she emphasized that properly managing differences and pursuing common development serve the fundamental interests of both nations and peoples. She called for continued efforts for people-to-people friendship and  a sound China-Philippines relationship back onto the right track.
